Nothing is quite as miserable as being angry with ones self. Self hatred is deceptive taking the form of “truths” about others. The adage when you point one finger at another three is pointing at you is correct.
The distrust we direct towards others is really distrust aimed at our selves. This isolates and alienates us to the point that our hope is continually frayed by a little more lost potential everyday; every thought.
The subtleness of self hatred is an encroachment on the Powers of The Universe. God has powers to pour upon us when we permit our self to be susceptible to hopefulness rather than hopelessness. Hopelessness invokes fear. Hopelessness creates despair and despondency. Preludes to depression, isolation and alternatively back biting, criticism and victimization. The latter is particularly true. You have observed this at work.
Our thinking directed towards others determines the true love we have for the self.
What can one do?
Failure is common to life. If it is common to life see adversity as a blessing. Realize we have the power to be burdened by our past of jealousy and truth telling or we can realize the powers of Heaven by cleaning up our perception of our self which is reflected in how we view and treat others.
