I come from a belief system that if I can imagine it I can accomplish it. I did this when I was homeless. Below are a few “tricks” I used to set myself up to be confident so I could create a level of belief when it appeared I had none.
Success starts with our beliefs.
Learn to focus on one result. This increases your confidence creating chemicals that “Hey I can get real benefits from this.”
Start focusing on getting it done rather than “I might fail.”
Do you find yourself ruining the very things you want? May be you finally get the right relationship only to find yourself pulling away because you created this connection associated with pain your partner had no involvement in creating.
Perhaps you find yourself over sleeping when you set a goal to rise early for your exercise regimen. When the alarm emits you have assigned more pain to getting up than being slim.
Have you ever said this:
“They’ll laugh at me,” “I don’t have the right shoes,” or “I can do it in the morning,”
Or you want a promotion. So, you convince yourself with an subconscious list of why you are unqualified and others are supremely more qualified. You find yourself often minimizing your accomplishments while exaggerating the achievements of others.
If you find you are sabotaging yourself i.e. procrastinating be sure to change your body. I know this sounds elementary. Trust me when you walk faster at work, sit up in your chair you’ll began to feel more confident.
Self sabotage means we are stopping our self from doing something that on some level we want to do or maybe we know we really should be doing if we want to achieve certain results.
We tend yo associate more discomfort with not doing or delaying a thing than actually doing it.
Now sometimes self sabotage or procrastination is attempting to protect us from rejection.

- Project an image of the benefits if you do take action.
- Make these positive associations bolder than any reason not to take action.
- Identify if you have a tendency to reject happiness because it may “fall apart.”
- Consider all things you miss out on by not taking action.
- Develop a sense of confidence. Meaning you have a sense you can do this. Being confident is merely a mental act.
Out of confidence comes ideas to benefit you at work and home. Even if you don’t have confidence you can trick your body into believing you have it by changing your voice and your body.
When you find yourself having any hint of doubt observe how you are sitting or standing.
