My intent is not to offend in this comment. However, when I was a kid living in a poor agricultural town in Missouri I similar to many black youths believed to be lighter skinned was lucky. We often straightened our hair, bleached our skin in order to secure whatever advantage we felt nature had misplaced. Of course I was wrong.

Research into why some people appear to “always have all the luck,” operate from a certain paradigm. Positive Expectancy. It isn’t fate or divine favoritism.

Raise your expectations

Your thoughts can be controlled by your body. Sitting, standing, walking, all have importance on how one relates to what transpires.

People inherently seek out those who make us feel better to say it simply.

Since you have to think why not think forward.

Watch for opportunities.

See possibility in every negative event.

See things as they are but not worst than they are.

The Universe is subtle. She whispers. It is up to us to listen to where we are being nudged by adversity.

Be cheerful, brave and persistent.
